Learn moreThe Cert III in Individual Support is a qualification to train people to work in community and residential settings and provide person centred support to people who may require additional care due to ageing, living with disability, or some other reason. The training prepares workers to follow an individualised support plan for the client, often as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Taught by our expert team of highly qualified trainers, the course is suitable for a range of different career pathways providing care services to the elderly, or people living with disability.
Learn moreProvide First Aid is the national standard for professional first aid training in the workplace. It’s a comprehensive first aid course that trains students to recognise medical emergencies and provide appropriate first aid until emergency services arrive on-site to take over. It also equips students with the first aid skills to respond to a wide range of non-critical injuries, such as burns, fractures, minor wounds, and spider bites.
Learn moreThe HLTAID009 CPR first aid course provides students with the practical skills and essential knowledge required to provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) to a casualty in a genuine medical emergency. Students are trained to apply the DRSABCD procedure to assess the scene of a potential medical emergency and provide an emergency first aid response – contacting emergency services, performing CPR, and attaching and operating an automated external defibrillator (AED) if needed.
They know how to follow established first aid procedures to minimise risks to themselves and others, and how to hand over to emergency services and provide a verbal assessment of the situation.
Students are given the chance to observe and attempt cardiopulmonary resuscitation during the course, with the chance to practise on both an adult resuscitation manikin AND an infant resuscitation manikin. They will also gain practical experience using an AED.
Learn moreThe HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an education and care setting qualification provides students with the approved first aid training needed to work as a teacher, educator, or childcare worker, and render medical assistance in a medical emergency. Graduates know how to provide minors with medical care appropriately and follow established first aid principles as laid out by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) and other Australian peak clinical bodies.
The course includes all the content of a standard first aid training certificate, with additional learning to cover the specialised training requirements of those working in educational and care settings, including extra asthma and anaphylaxis training, and instruction on how to recognise signs of injury and illness in children or infants.
Learn moreBuilding on the skills of the Certificate III in Commercial Cookery, the Certificate IV in Kitchen Management provides cooks and chefs with the additional skills and knowledge they’ll need to take on a supervisory role in the kitchen – such as head chef or catering manager, or managing staff for a small food business.
In addition to the core skills of cooking (such as how to serve food and follow hygienic practices), students of the course also learn higher-level skills of commercial kitchen management, preparing them to take on a team-leading role. Graduates learn to manage safety risks and solve non-routine problems with little disruption to the operation of the business.
Learn moreThe certificate 4 in disability support is a qualification that trains and equips students not only to provide individual support to people living with disability, but to empower them with more independence and self-reliance, encourage community participation and improve their overall well-being. Students are trained to utilise a person-centred approach working with and often contributing to the person’s individualised plan.
This may involve connecting clients with community services or service programs, sourcing advocacy and representation services, providing advice on government funding options, or helping them work towards future employment.
