A Systems Architect manages computer and network systems for large organisations or businesses. You might ensure information technology systems are operating effectively and are able to cope with demands. Systems Architects may design new systems or come up with improvements to existing operations.

Systems Architects require excellent technical skills and may require leadership abilities if you are supervising a team of staff. You’ll need to be a good problem solver and be able to communicate with a range of stakeholders. Systems Architects must be able to manage their time well and keep their skills up to date.
