Certificate IV in Ageing Support
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)This qualification equips students to work in the aged care sector, providing person centred services and individual support in a residential, home, or community based aged care setting. They are also trained to complete specialised tasks, which may include individual service planning, implementing falls prevention strategies, and in some circumstances adopting a palliative approach to personal support.
Students are trained to work within defined organisation guidelines, following safe work practices for the aged care industry without the need for direct supervision. They are also equipped to lead other support workers where needed.

Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
Be 18 years of age, or older.
Have completed the CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) course.
Be competent with digital technology, numeracy, and English – both written and spoken. You may be required to complete an LLN test to verify this. International students will require an IELTS score of at least 6.0 (or the equivalent from a different language test).
Hold, or be eligible to hold:
- a National Police Clearance
- DHS Working with Vulnerable People and those with Disability clearance
- a Safe Environments for Children certificate
Show evidence of your COVID-19 vaccination status (as required by relevant state, territory, and federal government regulations).
