Nutrition Advisors promote healthy eating habits and smart dietary choices. They usually work in public health and organisational roles developing educational programs and resources as well as evaluating the nutritional content of food products, recipes, and meal plans. Some Nutritional Advisors work one-on-one with individual clients.

As a Nutrition Advisor you could be calculating the nutritional value of a proposed food product, developing a personalised meal plan for a client wanting to increase their vitality and overall energy levels, creating educational resources for high school students to demonstrate the relationship between diet and health, assessing the food journal of a client and providing constructive feedback, or referring a client with diabetes to a registered dietician for nutritional therapy and medical advice.
