Sponsorship Manager

Sponsorship Managers are marketing professionals who work for community-based organisations such as charities, art galleries, museums, sports teams, and services clubs. They secure sponsorship and funding opportunties for their organisation which many include advertising packages, grants, private gifts, and bequests. Sponsorship Managers are also involved in fundraising activities as well as the overall marketing function.

As a Sponsorship Manager you could be developing a corporate sponsorship proposal for a sporting team, applying for a government grant for a charity, negotiating a bequest from a family for a museum, selling sponsorship opportunities to local businesses for a services club, researching businesses within target demographics to identify potential sponsors, meeting with the marketing manager to brainstorm fundraising ideas, or printing advertising banners and signage that includes the logo of corporate sponsors.
