Business Specialist

A Business Specialist analyses the performance of a business and makes recommendations for improvement. You might work for the business or be employed as an external consultant. Business Specialists look at where a business is performing strongly and where changes may be beneficial. You may suggest new strategies in a range of areas such as sales targets or customer retention.

Business Specialists should have good leadership skills and be able to communicate well with people from a range of backgrounds. You’ll need to have good analytical skills and be an excellent problem solver. Business Specialists must be able to understand the goals and challenges of businesses in a range of sectors.
