This course requires 25 hours per week over 52 weeks. Students will grasp a thorough understanding of core skills used in the hospitality field. These include administration, covering spreadsheets, business documents and sourcing industry information, client and customer service skills, communication including social and cultural sensitivity and coaching others, and work safety.

The BSB60120 Advanced Diploma of Business is geared towards individuals with significant experience in a senior administrative role, who are seeking to develop expertise across a wider range of business functions. The qualification is suited to individuals who possess significant theoretical business skills and knowledge, and wish to consolidate and build pathways to further educational or employment opportunities.

During this course students will develop a full understanding of Business, marketing and management concepts, a coordinated organisational approach and a concern for profits, as well as understanding as to how these are relevant to all other subjects in the program. Specialised aspects of business management such as management strategy, marketing services, product management and research are highlighted.

The ICT60220 Advanced Diploma of Information Technology (General) provides high level information and communications technology (ICT), process improvement and business skills and knowledge to enable an individual to be effective in senior ICT roles within organisations. The qualification builds on a base core of management competencies, with specialist and general elective choices to suit particular ICT and business needs, especially in the areas of knowledge management and systems development.

The BSB60420 Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management has been designed to reflect the role of individuals who have senior or managerial responsibilities. They may oversee the work of others or have specialised roles where they do not supervise others, instead provide strategic leadership. Students will learn the importance of providing leadership across an organisation while gaining the skill and knowledge to develop and implement strategic plans.

This course is suited for candidates wishing to pursue careers in roles such as area managers, department managers, and regional managers.

The CHC52021 Diploma of Community Services reflects the roles of community services, case management and social housing workers involved in the managing, co-ordinating and/or delivering of person-centred services to individuals, groups and communities.

At this level, workers have specialised skills in community services and work autonomously under broad directions from senior management. Workers are usually providing direct support to individuals or groups of individuals. Workers may also have responsibility for the supervision of other workers and volunteers and/or case management; program coordination or the development of new business opportunities.

The CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support reflects the role of workers in the community and/or residential setting who follow an individualised plan to provide person-centred support to people who may require support due to ageing, disability or some other reason. Work involves using discretion and judgement in relation to individual support as well as taking responsibility for own outputs. Workers have a range of factual, technical and procedural knowledge, as well as some theoretical knowledge of the concepts and practices required to provide person-centred support.

The CHC43015 Certificate IV in Ageing Support reflects the role of support workers who complete specialised tasks and functions in aged services; either in residential, home or community-based environments. Workers will take responsibility for their own outputs within defined organisation guidelines and maintain quality service delivery through the development, facilitation and review of individualised service planning and delivery.

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who are currently managing the work of others; these individuals may also add value to a business through the review of management practices. Their role may be in any industry or organisational setting. Typically people in these roles will have considerable experience in their respective industries or vocational areas and combine an informed perspective of specific work requirements with their managerial approaches.

The course runs over 52 weeks with 25 hours per week. Students will come away with an excellent understanding of administration, client and customer service, communication and work safety. Under these clusters, students cover a range of units including complex spreadsheets, managing finances within a budget, rostering staff, leadership and managing people, coaching, managing conflict, diversity in the workplace and much more.

The BSB60720 Advanced Diploma of Program Management has been designed to reflect the role of individuals who apply specialised knowledge and skills, together with experience in program management across a range of enterprise and industry contexts.

A program is defined as a set of interrelated projects, each of which has a project manager. ‘Multiple projects’, or ‘a program of projects’, refers to a number of related projects managed by the same person as a program to achieve organisational objective/s.

It applies to individuals who are program managers, managing or directing a suite of projects (a program) to achieve organisational objectives. Individuals at this level use initiative and judgement to direct, plan, and lead a range of program functions, with accountability for personal and team outcomes within broad parameters.

They use cognitive and communication skills to identify, analyse and synthesise information from a variety of sources and transfer their knowledge to others, and creative or conceptual skills to express ideas and perspectives or respond to complex problems.

The ICT50220 Diploma of Information Technology (General) provides students with the skills and knowledge to be competent in a variety of information and communications technology (ICT) roles who have established specialised skills in a technical ICT function. A person with this qualification can carry out moderately complex tasks in specialist fields, working independently, as part of a team or leading deliverables with others. They may apply their skills across a wide range of industries, business functions and departments, or as a business owner (sole trader/contractor).

This qualification reflects the role of highly skilled senior managers who use a broad range of hospitality skills combined with specialised managerial skills and substantial knowledge of industry to coordinate hospitality operations. They operate with significant autonomy and are responsible for making strategic business management decisions.

This qualification provides a pathway to work in any hospitality industry sector and for a diversity of employers including restaurants, hotels, motels, catering operations, clubs, pubs, cafés, and coffee shops. This qualification allows for multi-skilling and for acquiring targeted skills in accommodation services, cookery, food and beverage and gaming.

The ICT50220 Diploma of Information Technology (Advanced Programming) provides students with the skills and knowledge to be competent in programming and software development. A person with this qualification can create new software products to meet a project brief or customise software products to meet customer needs. This course includes communication skills, project management, software testing, network and system administration, object orientated programming in languages such as Java, php and android object-oriented systems analysis and web design.

The ICT60220 Advanced Diploma of Information Technology (Telecommunications Network Engineering) provides high level information and communications technology (ICT), process improvement and business skills and knowledge to enable an individual to be effective in senior ICT roles within organisations. The qualification builds on a base core of management competencies, with specialist and general elective choices to suit particular ICT and business needs, especially in the areas of knowledge management and systems development.

The SIT40521 Certificate IV in Kitchen Management reflects the role of chefs and cooks who have a supervisory or team leading role in the kitchen. They operate independently or with limited guidance from others and use discretion to solve non-routine problems./p>

This qualification provides a pathway to work in organisations such as restaurants, hotels, clubs, pubs, cafes and coffee shops, or to run a small business in these sectors. Possible job titles include chef and chef de partie, and no occupational licensing, certification or specific legislative requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication.
