There are some prominent differences between TAE40122 and TAE40116 as mentioned below:

• TAE40122 has 12 units out of which 6 are core and 6 are electives. TAE40116 has 9 core units and 1 elective.

It includes regulatory requirements for purchasing and handling refrigerants.

Competency development activities in this qualification are subject to regulations directly related to licencing. A relevant contract of training through an apprenticeship or relevant employment may be required to enable the application of the required knowledge and skills to on the job work activities and environments.

This program is designed for Australian residents who are willing to pursue a career or continue a career pathway within the field of Electrotechnology as a recognised Electrician.

This course is designed for Australian residents above 18 years old who are willing to pursue a career or continue a career pathway within the field of electrotechnology as a recognised Electrician.

This course is focused on Apprenticeship pathways, where the learner has an established Host Employer under whom they are full time or part time employed.

Learners must have the willingness to work as full-time apprentices for 4 years or part-time apprentices for 6.5 years, as required under the Electricity Safety (Licensing and Registration) Regulations 2010, while they are commencing their Training and Assessment with Frontier.

The Certificate II in Electrotechnology (Career Start) is a pre-apprenticeship electrical course, that provides an introduction to the electrical/electronics industries in areas such as electrical, renewable energy, air conditioning/refrigeration, and instrumentation.

The course will enable you to develop broad-based competencies in a range of electrotechnology fields, such as lighting, general power, fire protection and security, robotics, instrumentation, optical data and voice systems, electrical motors, and control systems.

Gain experience in the trade and use your skills to make informed choices in the selection of vocational career paths. You will gain a recognized qualification as well as credits for further training as an apprentice in the electrotechnology industry.

The course involves face-to-face theory classes and practical skills training in our simulated practical workshop area on campus, and for the work simulations carried out on campus in the workshop, you will require work wear, work boots, and clear safety glasses.

This qualification defines the skills and knowledge required of an Engineering Tradesperson – Fabrication within metal, engineering, manufacturing and associated industries. The qualification has been specifically developed to meet the needs of apprentices in the above trade.

This qualification must be undertaken through a Training Contract or through formal trade recognition assessment processes.

The skills associated with this qualification are intended to apply to a wide range of fabrication work, including undertaking metal fabrication, structural steel erection, sheetmetal work, welding, blacksmithing and surface finishing.

This qualification is designed to provide an industry recognised skills profile related to trade work as an Engineering Tradesperson – Fabrication.

This qualification defines the skills and knowledge required of an engineering tradesperson – mechanical within metal, engineering, manufacturing and associated industries. The qualification has been specifically developed for apprentices in the above trade.

This qualification must be undertaken through a Training Contract or through formal trade recognition assessment processes.

This qualification is for telecommunications technology operators who assess installation requirements, plan and perform installations, test installed equipment, and fault-find when issues arise with installed equipment.

A pre training interview would be conducted with the applicant by a Frontier representative. This interview will help us identify your prior experience, existing knowledge, skills and suitability for the course. If you have recently moved to Australia with an overseas electrical license then the only thing standing in between your skills and an Australian electrical licence is the 10809NAT Course in Electrician- Minimum Australian Context Gap training.

Our 10809NAT Course in Electrician- Minimum Australian Context Gap training provides a pathway to holders of an Offshore Technical Skills Record (OTSR) towards completion of the qualification UEE30820 Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician and issuance of an unrestricted Australian Electrical licence.

This course is exclusively designed for overseas workers with an electrical background in cabling, lifts or general who wants to move to Australia and gain a relevant licence for employment. The short course provides you with the training and assessment of six core competency standard units and one elective competency standard unit, required knowledge for Australian standards and skill components through online training as well as face-to-face practical demonstrations and observation.
