Screenplay Writer

A Screenplay Writer creates scripts for television or film productions. You might come up with your own ideas for stories or you might be working with an idea requested by a film or television company. Screenplay Writers may also prepare a script based on an already existing production or book. You may have to research your story idea or interview people involved with the story.

Screenplay Writers need to be creative and should be able to produce writing to meet a deadline. You’ll need a strong understanding of how film and television are made and you’ll need to be able to work with other production crew members. It’s important that you are organised and have good time management skills.
