You will learn to provide high quality care for children as well as creating safe and effective learning environments and implement an approved learning framework to support children’s wellbeing, learning and development. Either this course or its predecessor course, code CHC30113 are a prerequisite to enrolment into CHC50121 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care.

Individuals who undertake this course will gain a range of well-developed tourism service, sales or operational skills and sound knowledge of industry operations to coordinate tourism services. Using discretion and judgement, they work with some independence and under limited supervision using plans, policies and procedures to guide work activities.

This qualification provides a pathway to work in many tourism industry sectors and for a diversity of employers including tour operators, inbound tour operators, visitor information centres, holiday parks and resorts, attractions, cultural and heritage sites, and any small tourism business.

This qualification allows for multi-skilling and for specialisation in office-based roles involving the planning and coordination of tourism services, in roles in the field where products are delivered or in performing operational activities such as housekeeping, grounds maintenance and providing customer service.

The Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care CHC50121 addresses the skills and knowledge required to provide care for individuals and groups of children, and to plan activities facilitating their leisure and play, enabling them to achieve their developmental outcomes. This newly updated qualification reflects the role of early childhood educators who are responsible for designing and implementing curriculum that meets the requirements of an approved learning framework and for maintaining compliance in other areas of service operations. They use specialised knowledge and analyse and apply theoretical concepts to diverse work situations. They may have responsibility for supervision of volunteers or other educators.

The skills included will support a wide range of industry occupations. (Please note this course is not suitable for Apple Mac Users.) This unit (Provide First Aid – HLTAID011) describes the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to a casualty. The unit applies to all workers who may be required to provide a first aid response in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.

Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) This nationally recognised course satisfies 1 Unit of Competency from the new HLT Health Training Package.
