Guidance Officer

A Guidance Officer supports students in their academic, emotional, and social development. You might work in a primary or secondary school, providing counselling services, career guidance, and educational planning. Guidance Officers focus on helping students overcome challenges, set and achieve goals, and develop skills for future success. You’ll create and implement programs that address student needs and foster a positive school environment.

Guidance Officers play an important role in students’ lives. You’ll need to be empathetic, patient, and able to communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff. You’ll collaborate with teachers and other professionals to ensure students receive the appropriate support and resources to thrive both academically and personally.
