A Venue Manager coordinates bookings and events at a function venue. You might host conferences, exhibitions, performances or corporate functions. Venue Managers organise details such as staffing, catering, electrical equipment or advertising. You might liaise with event planning organisations or industries wishing to hold an event at your venue.

Venue Managers must have strong leadership skills and be able to manage a team of staff. You’ll need to communicate well and speak with clients from a range of backgrounds. It’s important that you are organised and have good time management skills. Venue Managers will need good problem solving skills and should be excellent multitaskers.
