A Senior Rates Officer issues rates notices on behalf of a local government authority. You might determine property rates structures and be involved with the development of council rates policies. Senior Rates Officers oversee the issuing of rates invoices and collection of payments.

A Senior Rates Officer should have strong analytical skills and be comfortable working with financial information. You’ll need to be capable of a range of administrative tasks and able to use information technology to gather data.
