They are specialists in their field of expertise and often play a leading role in the development of public policy and public works programs.

As a government consultant you could be meeting with a senior official to inform them of an important industry development, preparing a detailed written proposal, networking with industry leaders and peak industry bodies, or developing a timeline for an upcoming public project.

It’s an extremely demanding profession and you’ll need outstanding communication, personal presentation, and time management skills.
