A Public Relations Officer manages public opinion of businesses, organisations or individuals. You might foster positive attitudes toward a brand and manage any problematic issues that arise. Public Relations Officers hold events, prepare media releases and develop publicity campaigns. You might also conduct surveys or research to test public opinion.

Public Relations Officers should have excellent communication skills and be able to liaise with stakeholders from a range of backgrounds. It’s important you have strong interpersonal skills and good problem solving abilities. Public Relations Officers should be highly organised and be good at multitasking.
