Senior Compliance Officer

A Senior Compliance Officer leads investigations into public infringements on behalf of a local government authority. You might issue infringement notices for issues such as noise, parking or keeping pets. Senior Compliance Officers may prepare information for court hearings and attend court to represent a council area. You may lead a team of compliance officers or specialise in a particular type of compliance activity.

Senior Compliance Officers should have strong leadership skills and be able to follow correct procedures during their work. Attention to detail is crucial and you’ll need to be able to keep accurate records. Senior Compliance Officers must be able to work as part of a team and communicate clearly with people from a range of backgrounds.
