A Procurement Consultant provides advice to large businesses or organisations on the purchase of new supplies and services. You might assist with sourcing products and suppliers or negotiate prices on behalf of your client. Procurement Consultants may prepare contracts and guide organisations through the completion of other paperwork.

Procurement Consultants should have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to communicate with people from a range of backgrounds. It’s important you have strong negotiation skills and you should be a good problem solver. Procurement Consultants must be good at multitasking as you may work with several clients at one time.
