Supply and Distribution Manager

Supply and Distribution Managers oversee and organise the storage, supply, and distribution of goods produced by manufacturing companies and the product inventory at wholesale and retail organisations. They ensure the efficient supply of raw materials as well as the safe movement of finished goods.

As a Supply and Distribution Manager you could be developing operating procedures to minimise processing errors, chatting with a driver as they deliver a load of raw materials, negotiating a new supplier contract, meeting with the logistics clerks to ensure the correct recording of purchase transactions, carrying out a risk assessment on the movement of forklifts in the warehouse, or reviewing the warehouse roster to ensure there are adequate staffing levels to receive inventory purchases.
