Helicopter Pilot

A Helicopter Pilot flies various types of helicopters for a range of purposes. You might transport passengers or freight, conduct surveillance services or be involved in activities such as search and rescue, emergency evacuations or agricultural mustering. Helicopter Pilots perform duties such as conducting safety checks on their aircraft, submitting flight plans and communicating with air traffic control personnel.

Helicopter Pilots should be skilled fliers and able to focus on safety during their work. You’ll need to follow correct procedures and be able to adapt quickly to changing conditions. Helicopter Pilots must be able to communicate clearly and solve problems as they arise. Depending on your role, you might work irregular hours or need to be on call when required.
