This qualification reflects the role of individuals who apply knowledge, practical skills and experience in leadership and management across a range of enterprise and industry contexts.

Individuals at this level display initiative and judgement in planning, organising, implementing and monitoring their own workload and the workload of others. They use communication skills to support individuals and teams to meet organisational or enterprise requirements.

They may plan, design, apply and evaluate solutions to unpredictable problems, and identify, analyse and synthesise information from a variety of sources.

Entry requirements

Domestic Students

  • There are no mandated entry requirements.
  • All learners must be at least 18 years of age.
  • All learners must complete a language, literacy and numeracy assessment at time of enrolment, or alternatively provide a copy of a Certificate or Statement of Attainment for a Certificate IV qualification or higher.
  • All learners must be currently working in a managerial role or have support in the workplace to act as in a leadership role in the current place of work.
  • All learners must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a managerial role in either the Disability, Aged Care, Mental Health or Community Services.

With face-to-face or online options available, training is delivered by specialist trainers and qualified Nurses with extensive experience in vocational training and currency in the specialty areas.
