By studying the Certificate III in Business, you will gain the knowledge and skills required to work in a variety of business service roles. This course provides the individual with the skills to effectively support the operations of a business through competent administrative and team-based functions.

The Administration and Records streams are available as a traineeship and state and/or federal incentives may be available. 

By studying the Certificate IV in Business, you will gain the knowledge and skills to carry out a mix of specialist and moderately complex administrative or operational tasks in a variety of business service roles. 

Individuals entering this qualification may have accountabilities for supervising the performance of others. 

This course provides a broad appreciation of the factors that support business success and the requirements to apply these dimensions with some levels of leadership and confidence.

By studying Certificate IV in Leadership and Management you will gain the knowledge and skills that a developing or existing frontline manager requires. This course provides the individual with the skills to effectively performance manage others, apply their interpersonal skills and lead a team to success. This qualification is available as a traineeship so state and federal incentives may be available.

By studying the Certificate IV in Project Management Practice, you will gain the knowledge and skills required to work in a variety of project roles.

This course provides the individual with the skills to effectively work autonomously, or in a project team and support overall project outcomes for project-based operational activities.

Develop the knowledge and skills to apply Safety and Health legislation. This course teaches you relevant skills on how to be a meaningful Safety Officer, provide leadership, have some responsibility for the output of others and provide guidance to others.

Develop the knowledge and skills on how to work in the resource processing industry and processing plants. This course teaches the individual skills such as performing mainly routine, operational tasks and applying fundamental process operational knowledge.

This training is delivered on the job to registered trainees. So there is no requirement for you to leave work for off the job training. CTS can adjust the training to individual needs and workplaces.

We only offer this course if you are currently employed in the resource processing industry via a traineeship pathway. You must have access to specified equipment in order to enrol in this qualification with CTS and provide approval for CTS assessors to visit the site to conduct assessments. 

This qualification reflects the role of employees such as production operators in a metalliferous processing facility or a coal preparation and treatment plant, who perform tasks involving a broad range of skilled applications in a varied work context, using some discretion and judgement in selecting equipment, services or contingency measures.

Training in confined space entry is a key component of the safe system of work.  Australian Standards AS2865-2009 Confined Spaces defines a confined space as an enclosed or partially enclosed space that is not intended or designed primarily for human occupancy.

Therefore, competency is essential for personnel who may be required to enter and work in confined spaces such as storage tanks, process vessels, pressure vessel, boilers, mills, other tank like compartments, silos, pipes, sewers, shafts, ducts, pits and trenches (for example).

CTS only deliver training and assessment for this unit in the workplace. It is for workers who may be required to enter and work in confined spaces in the resources and infrastructure industries.

Training relevant staff to work safely at heights is a key component of safe systems of work. Working at heights means working where there is a risk of falling from one level to another. It is a high-risk activity and a leading cause for death and serious injury.

Therefore, competency is essential for personnel who may be required to work on top of tanks or structures, scaffolding, elevated work platforms, near an edge or opening they could fall from or off a ladder (for example).

The course is delivered over three days in the classroom. Candidates are provided with the skills and knowledge required to implement and maintain management systems to control risk as managers and leaders working in the mining industry.
