Enter and work in confined spaces
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)Training in confined space entry is a key component of the safe system of work. Australian Standards AS2865-2009 Confined Spaces defines a confined space as an enclosed or partially enclosed space that is not intended or designed primarily for human occupancy.
Therefore, competency is essential for personnel who may be required to enter and work in confined spaces such as storage tanks, process vessels, pressure vessel, boilers, mills, other tank like compartments, silos, pipes, sewers, shafts, ducts, pits and trenches (for example).
CTS only deliver training and assessment for this unit in the workplace. It is for workers who may be required to enter and work in confined spaces in the resources and infrastructure industries.
