About WAYS Youth Training

Business Certificate III has been specially created to build your confidence so that you can use initiative in safe and diverse working environments. By combining written and practical assessments you will gain competency and understanding of the business industry.

You will develop your communication skills to help promote healthy relationships with colleagues and customers and acquire practical knowledge to form the basis of a successful career in business. You will build your digital skills using business technology to design and produce business documents. You will get an opportunity to work with others to present projects to your peers and receive feedback.

This qualification may be used as a pathway for workforce entry as community services workers who provide the first point of contact and assist individuals in meeting their immediate needs.

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who have the primary responsibility of engaging the customer, maintaining daily store operations and delivering on organisational expectations. They have sound knowledge of product and service offerings. These individuals possess a range of well-developed skills where discretion and judgement is required. They work with some independence under limited supervision. Some individuals working at this level are responsible for supervising other team members and monitoring day-to-day workplace operations.

The qualification provides a pathway to work in a diverse range of retail settings including specialty retailers, supermarkets, department stores and quick service restaurants.

Individuals with this qualification are able to perform roles such as frontline sales assistant, customer service representative, shop assistant, retail supervisor, team leader and senior sales assistant.

The Cert IV in Community Services is the basic entry requirement for working in Community Services. The WAYS Youth Training course has been specially designed for young people using our own Youth and Family Services and the many network partners we work with in Community Services.

This qualification reflects the role of individuals in a variety of entry-level Business Services job roles. This qualification also reflects the role of individuals who have not yet entered the workforce, and are developing the necessary skills in preparation for work.

These individuals carry out a range of basic procedural, clerical, administrative or operational tasks that require self-management and technology skills. They perform a range of mainly routine tasks using limited practical skills and fundamental operational knowledge in a defined context. Individuals in these roles generally work under direct supervision.

This course provides the qualification for students to become an approved early childhood educator and work in regulated children's education and care services in Australia.

Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care is the basic entry requirement for a career in Early Childhood Education and Care. This qualification reflects the role of educators in early childhood education and care who work in regulated children's education and care services in Australia. They support children's wellbeing, and development in the context of an approved learning framework. Educators use a range of well-developed skills and knowledge using discretion and judgment when carrying out their work in the context of established policies and procedures.

A white card is required for construction work.

The White Card course contains the mandatory work health and safety training required prior to undertaking construction work. The course requires the student to demonstrate personal awareness and knowledge of health and safety legislative requirements in order to work safely and prevent injury or harm to self and others.

WAYS Youth Training is an accredited White Card provider and can provide this course at our office or we can visit your premises, e.g., a school.
