Record of service periods/shifts completed by students performing real and simulated tasks in workplace environments. This assessment must be completed in a pre-approved real workplace setting under the direct supervision of a suitably qualified, pre-approved workplace supervisor or supervisors.

Student Radiation Use Licences:
Students who reside in the Northern Territory and Queensland are required to apply for a Student Radiation Use Licence before they can take any radiographs. This condition only applies to students who enrol into the Dental Radiography specialisation.
Affected students will need a letter from Foundation Education stating that they are a student and need the student radiation use license to complete the practical aspect of their course.
This is applicable for the following unit of competency:
- HLTDEN016 Assist with dental radiography
For all other states and territories: Students can be supervised by a licensee.
