The Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance qualification sets you up with the skills and knowledge required to develop a rewarding, hands-on career in the health sector.
The Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance equips you with a solid understanding of how to assist with Allied Health programming, interpret basic medical terminology and comply with infection prevention and control policies. You’ll also learn the important skill of communicating effectively with Allied Health professionals and patients.
With the Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance, you’ll learn how to:
- Assist Allied Health professionals
- Follow treatment plans for therapeutic interventions
- Conduct programs under direct, indirect or remote supervision
- Computer: Laptop or desktop computer with working speakers or headphone points
- Internet: High-speed internet such as Broadband or ADSL, T1/T2, fibre optic (Dial-up access is not recommended)
- Windows: Operating system – Windows 8 or above
- Internet Browser: Google Chrome, Firefox or Microsoft Internet Explorer 11
- MAC: Operating system - OS X 10.14 Mojave or later
- Software: Flash, Adobe Reader, Microsoft Word (or Open Office which is free to download)

Education
There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification.No specific educational prerequisites are required to enrol in this course.
Parental permission
Students under 18 are required to have their enrolment form signed by a parent or guardian.
Residency status
You will need to be a permanent Australian resident (or equivalent) or have the right to study in Australia other than a Student Visa.
External requirements
HLTAID011 Provide First Aid must be completed with an external provider.
Physical capabilities
You’ll be required to complete workplace tasks that involve manual handling and may be required to have certain vaccinations or a medical exemption if requested.

*Payment plan total is $100 deposit + 78 weekly payments. Foundation Education uses the direct debiting services of Debitsuccess on payment plans. Payment plans will incur a $12 establishment fee, charged with the first instalment, plus a 3.63% transaction fee on each transaction. Weekly payment amount provided is already inclusive of the transaction fee.
