What is Skilling South Australia?
Skilling SA is the funding program in South Australia for Vocational Education and Training (VET). It allows eligible SA students of all ages to enrol in a subsidised foundation skills course through to an Advanced Diploma across a range of industries.
To be eligible for subsidised training you must live or work in South Australia, and you be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, a permanent Australian resident, or an eligible visa holder. If you are 16 years or over and enrolled at school you must be undertaking training through the Training Guarantee for SACE Students (TGSS). If you are under 16 you must be undertaking training through a training contract.
The subsidised training you are eligible for is based on your employment and training level. You can enrol in a maximum of two subsidised courses at a time.
The contribution fees go directly to your registered training provider (pre-qualified supplier), so students are not required to do anything to access subsidised training.
