Mental Health Co-existing Needs Skill Set

Mental Health Co-existing Needs Skill Set is a short course that allows you to focus your learning and development on selected units of competency.
The nationally accredited Mental Health Co-Existing Needs Skill Set was created to meet the skill requirements for support workers providing services to clients with co-existing needs, including both mental health and alcohol and other drugs issues.
Learners will be issued with a Statement of Attainment for all successfully completed units.
Delivery mode
genU Training offers this course through the following delivery modes:
On campus
Work with instructors and classmates in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Online
Set your own study schedule and balance study with your other commitments.
Study Mode and Times
Virtual Training Room (day or night): Study online one day or night per week with instructor-led virtual training via video conferencing, supplemented with guided activities via the Learning Management System (eLearning).
- One (1) day per week: 9:30am – 12:30pm
- One (1) day per week: 6:00pm – 9:00pm
Time Zones: Local state time zones are observed.

Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
To enter CHCSS00102 Mental Health Co-existing Needs Skill Set, you will need to:
- be working in a community services environment with clients who have mental health and/or substance use issues.
Course fees
- SA Subsidised Training This training may be subsidised by the SA Government for eligible individuals. Places are limited.
- VIC Subsidised Training This training may be subsidised by the VIC Government for eligible individuals. Places are limited.
