Alcohol and Other Drugs Skill Set
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)Are you currently employed supporting individuals with alcohol and other drug issues? Then this training is for you!
Skill sets allow you to focus your learning and development in a particular subject area through a selection of targeted units of competency.
This nationally recognised skill set has been designed for individuals who:
- hold a relevant qualification or equivalent skills (at Certificate III level or higher in Community Services, Health or related field) OR
- who can provide evidence of substantial industry experience supporting individuals with alcohol and other drugs issue
Delivery mode
genU Training offers this course through the following delivery modes:
Online
Set your own study schedule and balance study with your other commitments.
Study Mode and Times
Virtual Training Room (day or night): Study with a mix of real time online instructor-led sessions via video conference and guided activities via the Learning Management System (eLearning).
Session delivery: One (1) session per week for 13 weeks approx, comprising of 10 x 3 hours virtual training sessions with self-paced essential learning between each session.
Session times:
- Morning sessions from 9:30am – 12:30pm
- Evening sessions from 6:00pm – 9:00pm
Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
This nationally recognised skill set has been designed for individuals who:
- Hold a qualification at Certificate III level or higher in Community Services, Health or related field
- Have skills equivalent to the qualification requirement validated through a recognition of prior learning process
- Have substantial industry experience, on the job training and development along with supervisor assessment of capacity
Course fees
- SA Subsidised Training This training may be subsidised by the SA Government for eligible individuals. Places are limited.
- VIC Subsidised Training This training may be subsidised by the VIC Government for eligible individuals. Places are limited.
