Eligibility criteria


You must meet ONE of the following requirements:

  • be a First Nations Australian; OR
  • be 17-24 years of age; OR
  • be unemployed or receiving income support payments; OR
  • be an unpaid carer; OR
  • be a person who identifies as female and is facing economic insecurity; OR
  • be a person who identifies as female and is undertaking study in non-traditional fields; OR
  • be a person with a disability

 

As well as ALL of the following requirements:

  • a dependent (aged over 18) or partner (spouse) visa holder of an eligible applicant
  • be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent Australian resident or an eligible VISA holder
  • live in TAS

JobTrainer

JobTrainer TAS is a joint undertaking by the State government of Tasmania and the Federal Government. Together they are providing $21.04 million for new VET (vocational education and training) opportunities for the citizens of Tasmania.

Eligibility criteria


You must meet ONE of the following requirements:

  • be 17-24 years of age (regardless of employment status); OR
  • be unemployed or receiving income support payments; OR
  • be “at risk of unemployment”; OR
  • be underemployed (working fewer hours than desired, including part-time workers); OR
  • be enrolling in an aged care, childcare, or disability care qualification; OR
  • be enrolling in a digital skills qualification

 

As well as ALL of the following requirements:

  • be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent Australian resident, or an eligible visa holder
  • live in TAS
  • not be currently enrolled at a Tasmanian school (as defined by the Education Act 2016)

Skills Checkpoint

Skills Checkpoint is a program offering career guidance and training options for older workers within Tasmania. It’s designed for people aged over 45 and it helps workers to stay in their current job role, transition to a new role at their workplace or find a whole new career path.
