You will develop various skills including effective interaction and communication with children, appropriate care for babies, toddlers and children, nutrition, first aid, health and safety. The ILearnOz Certificate IV in Ageing Support (CHC43015) is a specialist course of study that provides a more advanced level of skill, within the aged care sector – and is often a natural progression from Certificate III in Individual Support (CHC33015).
Successful completion of this qualification will enable career-minded aged care professionals to provide invaluable support within Aged Care, residential, home or community-based environments.
The Certificate IV in Aged Care will combine classroom training with on the job training by our highly qualified training staff. Students will be able to put into practice the skills that they have learnt in the classroom through placement at a registered aged care facility. Resources and equipment used to train students are to industry standards. The delivery will include face to face teaching, lectures, discussions, research, learning activities, group work, and supervised practical sessions. You will also be able to take advantage of work placement with leading Aged Care providers.
