You will be introduced to working in the field of early childhood and provide education and care to children in a range of services. You can help plan and deliver educational programs that focus on supporting children’s wellbeing, learning and development. It is the minimum qualification to gain employment in ACECQA approved early childhood services and often the qualification studied for those wanting to begin their career in early childhood education.

This nationally recognised qualification is the legal minimum requirement you need as a childcare worker. You will learn how to care for children and nurture their development from qualified early childhood educators with current skills, knowledge and strong links to industry.

The CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care will prepare you for a future career in an early childhood setting, helping educators to provide a healthy, safe and caring environment for children.

The CHC50121 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care is delivered face to face or blended learning which includes 15 units of study and 280 hours of work placement. If you are not already working within the Industry, Educare College will assist you with work placement in an approved childcare centre.

The BSB60420 Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management qualification is designed to enhance your key skills and knowledge as a manager while providing you with the expert insights you need to become an effective leader.

You’ll learn to apply appropriate judgment and initiative in order to respond to complex situations and deliver consistent results, no matter which organisation you work for or the industry you’re in.

This qualification reflects the role of community service workers who design and deliver person-centred services to individuals and/or groups. Workers may provide support, advocacy or interventions to individual clients, groups or communities across a range of services. At this level, workers may be autonomous within established parameters and may be required to supervise and lead other workers in projects or teams. Work may take place in a range of community service, case work or case management contexts. To achieve this qualification, the candidate must have completed at least 100 hours of work as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of units of competency.

You will also be able to learn much more about their lives and key issues such as how they live and their financial ability to care for themselves adequately.

One of the key or foundations requirements is to have completed a relevant qualification such as CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support with a focus on Aged Care. Having additional industry work experience can be an added benefit. Students may undertake this course as an entry pathway into the aged care or disability care industry. The Certificate is directed towards developing multi-skilled workers for the broad range of services supporting aged people and the disabled in residential and community settings.

This course will prepare you for a job in the disability sector. It’s an entry-level qualification for working in disability services, which can mean working in a residential facility that services people with disabilities or for a community services organisation that provides disability services. You’ll gain the skills and knowledge you need to support the personal care, wellbeing and daily activities of people living with an intellectual or physical disability.

This qualification reflects the role of workers who are middle managers or managers across a range of community sector organisations. These people work independently and report to executive management, directors or boards of management. They undertake a range of functions requiring the application of knowledge and skills to achieve results in line with the organisation’s goals and strategic directions.

This course will prepare you for a job as a support worker in a residential aged care facility or home care environment. It’s designed for people who hold a Certificate III qualification or have sufficient experience in the industry. People working at this level may be a supervisor or manage the performance of other team members.

Further your career in the Senior Care industry with a CHC 43015 Certificate IV in Ageing Support, where job openings over the next five years are expected to be greater than 50,000.

With this Certificate under your belt, you will be able to complete specialised tasks and functions in aged services; either in residential, home or community-based environments. You will learn how to facilitate the empowerment of older people, provide support to people living with dementia, deliver care services using a palliative approach and so much more. Having additional industry work experience can be an added benefit.

This course will equip you to provide self directed services to people affected by mental illness, psychiatric disability or drug and alcohol dependencies, by implementing community-focused health promotion and prevention strategies and working within the frameworks of trauma-informed care. You can work in a range of community contexts such as community-based non-government organisations; home based outreach; centre-based programs; respite care; residential services, rehabilitation programs; clinical settings; or supporting people in employment.

The CHC50221 Diploma of School Age Education and Care is a 12-to-24-month qualification for those wishing to lead an education and care program for children outside of the school environment. Through the Diploma qualification, you will learn what it means to provide a program for school age children and work in a position of responsibility.
