Certificate IV in Ageing Support
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)This course will prepare you for a job as a support worker in a residential aged care facility or home care environment. It’s designed for people who hold a Certificate III qualification or have sufficient experience in the industry. People working at this level may be a supervisor or manage the performance of other team members.
Further your career in the Senior Care industry with a CHC 43015 Certificate IV in Ageing Support, where job openings over the next five years are expected to be greater than 50,000.
With this Certificate under your belt, you will be able to complete specialised tasks and functions in aged services; either in residential, home or community-based environments. You will learn how to facilitate the empowerment of older people, provide support to people living with dementia, deliver care services using a palliative approach and so much more. Having additional industry work experience can be an added benefit.

Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
It’s preferred that students have obtained a minimum of a School Certificate or equivalent.
Students will be required to complete and pass a Working with Vulnerable People Check (including national police check) in the state or territory that they are working in prior to commencing work in this field.
