Network Architect

A Network Architect oversees the maintenance of information technology networks for large organisations. You might design and develop new computer networks or ensure current networks are operating effectively. Network Architects may fix problem issues within networks or plan improvements or upgrades to existing systems.

Network Architects should have strong organisational skills and be able to lead a team of information technology staff. It’s important your technical skills are up to date and you’ll need to be able to work in a team environment. Network Architects should be able to solve problems quickly and communicate well with colleagues and other stakeholders.
