This nationally recognised qualification is suitable for Aged Care AINs and In-Home Community Care Workers, in a residential and/or community care setting.
Certificate IV in Ageing Support will empower students to gain or retain employment in the Aged Care and Community Care sectors, and importantly includes the Assist Clients with Medication Skill Set.
Students will undertake professional development, and added new skills to plan, implement and monitor care services for elderly residents and participants.
On completion of this qualification, students are prepared for a supervisory or team leader role in the aged care industry and can pathway into university RNs.

The training focuses on providing students with a comprehensive understanding of mental health, psychiatric disability and recovery. Work may be undertaken in a range of community settings including accommodation services, day programs, in-home community care, respite care and rehabilitation.
On completion of the course students will have gained skills and knowledge to provision emotional, psychological, well-being and social support.

The training focuses on enhancing the well-being of residents and participants who require care through programs that extend beyond clinical care plans. Workers may be in residential facilities, community care settings and day centres, carrying out specialised tasks and functions in relation to leisure and health.
On completion of the course students will have gained new skills and knowledge to design and facilitate leisure and recreation programs in a residential or community setting.
