Certificate IV in Mental Health
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)This nationally recognised qualification is suitable for Mental Health Support/ Outreach Workers, Disability and Community carers, in a residential and community setting. The training focuses on providing students with a comprehensive understanding of mental health, psychiatric disability and recovery. Work may be undertaken in a range of community settings including accommodation services, day programs, in-home community care, respite care and rehabilitation.
On completion of the course students will have gained skills and knowledge to provision emotional, psychological, well-being and social support.

Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
- LLN Robot levels – entry at ACSF Level 3 (core skills, reading, writing, listening, speaking, numeracy, digital literacy).
- Ideally be an Existing Worker in Mental Health, Disability, Aged Care, and/or Community Care, Health Care etc.
- No criminal conviction that will appear on the National Police Check.
- Be of at least 16 years of age and completed Year 12 or equivalent.
- An Immunisation certificate or Vaccination card may be requested.
- Have basic computing skills and access to a standard computer or laptop.
- Driver Licence or Photo ID.
- Green Medicare card or evidence of residency.
- Unique Student Identifier
