Certificate IV in Ageing Support
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)This nationally recognised qualification is suitable for Aged Care AINs and In-Home Community Care Workers, in a residential and/or community care setting.
Certificate IV in Ageing Support will empower students to gain or retain employment in the Aged Care and Community Care sectors, and importantly includes the Assist Clients with Medication Skill Set.
Students will undertake professional development, and added new skills to plan, implement and monitor care services for elderly residents and participants.
On completion of this qualification, students are prepared for a supervisory or team leader role in the aged care industry and can pathway into university RNs.

Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
- LLN Robot levels – entry at ACSF Level 3 (core skills, reading, writing, listening, speaking, numeracy, digital literacy).
- Ideally be an Existing Worker in Aged Care, and/or Community Care, Health Care etc.
- No criminal conviction that will appear on the National Police Check.
- Be of at least 16 years of age and completed Year 12 or equivalent.
- An Immunisation certificate or Vaccination card may be requested.
- Must not have a criminal conviction that will appear on the National Police Check
- Have basic computing skills and access to a standard computer or laptop.
- Driver Licence or Photo ID.
- Green Medicare card or evidence of residency.
- Unique Student Identifier
