This qualification is for individuals who need to identify and apply project management skills and knowledge. They may be members of a project team and their role is to support project operations. This program gives them the tools and strategies to contribute fully to every phase of the project cycle as an effective team member. They will develop confidence as they explore their personal contribution through self-awareness and team process strategies.

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who apply knowledge, practical skills and experience in leadership and management across a range of enterprise and industry contexts. Individuals will develop skills and knowledge to display initiative and judgement in planning, organising, implementing and monitoring their own workload and the workload of others. They will improve their communication skills to support individuals and teams to meet organisational or enterprise requirements.

This qualification is suitable for people working in a Work Health and Safety (WHS) role who provide leadership and guidance to others and have some limited responsibility for the output of others.

The qualification applies to those working as supervisors, WHS personnel, and workers in other WHS-related roles who manage risks effectively, apply relevant WHS laws, and contribute to WHS within the workplace in known or changing contexts with established parameters.

Participants will develop the skills to influence the health and safety culture to achieve the organisation’s safety goals. They will develop a tool kit of skills that will give them the confidence to undertake safety inspections, examine safety practices, undertake risk assessments, actively contribute to consultation opportunities and monitor the health of their team or work colleagues.

The Certificate IV in Meat Processing (Leadership) is designed for first line managers, including supervisors and team leaders, working in a meat industry context. The units within this qualification apply to individuals who take responsibility for their own work and for the quality of others’ work within known parameters. These leaders provide and communicate solutions to a range of predictable and sometimes unpredictable problems.

This qualification covers work activities undertaken by workers commencing work in meat enterprises which undertake specialised services, such as preparing shelf ready retail products, meat wholesalers, specialty meat cuts, gourmet meat, bulk value-added products, and providing meat preparation customer service.

The Graduate Certificate in Agribusiness focuses on developing vital leadership skills to help organisations respond to the complex challenges facing the meat processing industry in Australia. Businesses in our industry face increased business pressure, labour skill shortages, increasing risk of diseases and a rapidly changing global landscape affecting export markets.

Made up of four core business disciplines delivered over 18 months, participants in the program will acquire the leadership knowledge and skills needed to support their organisations navigate the challenges faced and take advantage of growth opportunities.

The AMP30216 Certificate III in Meat Processing (Food Services) is a highly flexible qualification enabling selections to be made from a wide range of units.

The qualification reflects the role of individuals who apply knowledge, practical skills and experience in team leadership and/or management roles across operational, functional, technical and business meat industry contexts to process meat and produce meat products for domestic and export markets.

Through this program participants will develop knowledge and practical skills to design and redevelop systems of work and support them to take on more senior management roles inside the business. It is designed to get participants analysing the cause and effect of change. By the end of the program, participants will not only understand the operations, people and culture, and financial state of the business, but also understand the impact of changes to interconnected systems.

This qualification is aimed at new or experienced workers in the boning room wishing to obtain a Boning or Slicing, trade-level qualification. The off-the-job component may be completed at Certificate II level or at this level. The on the job component consists of demonstrating competency in a number of positions via a points system to obtain the qualification.
