The Australian Institute of Social Relations RTO 102358 is the training division of Relationships Australia SA. We have provided high quality, accessible and cost-effective health and community services training, to a wide range of professional groups since 2004.
We bring together current evidence-based research, professional education and direct service delivery experience – offering a unique foundation for all our training.
We recognise that quality services rely on quality staff. We are committed to assisting staff to gain skills, knowledge, and attitudes that ensure quality community and human services. Our nationally recognised training includes qualifications in family dispute resolution, counselling, youth work, and community services. We also provide a range of professional development workshops in children’s services, therapeutic practice and disability work.

Our Diploma of Counselling is your path to a rewarding and worthwhile career as a counsellor. Your knowledge and skills will enable you to work effectively with people of all backgrounds to improve their personal and psychological wellbeing. You will have the practical and theoretical skills to establish and maintain positive and constructive client relationships. Your specialist expertise will enable you to recognise and respond appropriately to the full range of issues that present in a counselling environment.

A structured workplace learning component is included to deliver practical skills.
120 hours of practicum / work placement is required for the completion of this qualification.
