A Vocational Education Trainer teaches students at a registered training organisation such as a TAFE or specialty training college. You’ll provide training that prepares students for the workforce or develops specialist industry skills. Vocational Education Trainers might specialise in a particular area or cover a range of subjects. You’ll liaise with industry stakeholders to make sure training provided is meeting their needs.
Vocational Education Trainers should have strong personal skills and be able to work with people from a range of backgrounds. Communication skills are essential and it’s important that you can be flexible in the delivery of your training programs. Vocational Education Trainers should be organised and have excellent time management.
