All HRD Integrated Services Courses
HRD Integrated Services provides online learning for the core units of the TLI27121 Certificate II in Rail Infrastructure. This course is typically offered for those wishing to enrol in the TLI31921 Certificate III in Mechanical Rail Signalling but can be completed as a stand alone course.
Learn moreHLTAID009 is part of the TLI31921 Certificate III in Mechanical Rail Signalling AND the UEE41223 Certificate IV in Rail Signalling course. It is solely targeted at learning CPR, a life-saving technique that can sustain life until an ambulance arrives. Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines recommend that CPR skills are recertified every 12 months.
HLTAID011 (previously known as Apply First Aid or Level 2 Workplace First Aid) aims to develop skills and knowledge required to provide first aid response, life support, casualty management and incident management until qualified help arrives at the scene. Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines recommend that first aid skills are renewed at least every three years.
Learn moreThe UETDRMP007 Perform Rescue from a Live Low Voltage Panel course and CPR training is for personnel required to work on or near low voltage (LV) and high voltage (HV) apparatus. This course satisfies rail HV requirements and is therefore suitable for signal maintainers and HV operators. This course also meet general electrical industry requirements for responding to an incident involving electrical apparatus.
Learn moreThe TLI31921 Certificate III in Mechanical Rail Signalling is for people engaged in the installation and maintenance of mechanical signalling equipment.
It involves a broad range of skilled applications in a wide variety of contexts, which may involve application of some discretion and judgement in selecting equipment, services, or contingency measures. It may also include responsibility for coordinating the work of others.
Learn moreThe UEE41223 Certificate IV in Rail Signalling is the essential qualification for those wishing to work as a rail signalling technician or maintainer on the Australian rail network.
HRD offers training appropraite to each state rail network. Apprentices and electricians working with construction and testing companies can use this qualification as a basis for gaining employment as a rail signal installer or maintainer in another state or territory.
Learn moreThe HRD UEERS0020 course involves the skills and knowledge required to interpret and apply rail signalling principles.
It includes identifying signalling equipment, explaining signalling terminology and conventions and explaining rail signalling principles. It also includes the interpretation of key signalling design documents as well as applying health and safety legislative requirements to different signalling work.
Learn moreThe UEERS0023 Inspect, Test and Certify Rail Power Signal Equipment is an unit of competency in the UEE41223 Certificate IV in Rail Signalling.
This course includes explanation of the VRIOG Standards (if you're from interstate, HRD can discuss with you integrating standards from your jurisdiction into training) methods of testing. It is suitable for personnel with a role in rail signalling that requires a signal equipment tester.
