Provide First Aid

Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)

HLTAID009 is part of the TLI31921 Certificate III in Mechanical Rail Signalling AND the UEE41223 Certificate IV in Rail Signalling course. It is solely targeted at learning CPR, a life-saving technique that can sustain life until an ambulance arrives. Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines recommend that CPR skills are recertified every 12 months.

HLTAID011 (previously known as Apply First Aid or Level 2 Workplace First Aid) aims to develop skills and knowledge required to provide first aid response, life support, casualty management and incident management until qualified help arrives at the scene. Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines recommend that first aid skills are renewed at least every three years.

About HRD Integrated Services

HRD Integrated Services is Victoria’s premier provider of consulting services, professional development, training and assessment programs for rail signalling, rail infrastructure and organisations that deliver services to rail.

HRD offer specialised professional development courses for a range of enterprise applications in rail infrastructure, including high voltage and electrical awareness, signal testing and maintenance, and training for ARA competency matrices.

HRD’s accredited training and assessment programs vary from entire qualifications to single units of competency in first aid and rescue or operating and certifying equipment.

HRD courses are developed with the customer in mind. Training is comprehensive and trainers are technically competent, skilled and experienced. HRD does not cut corners: assessment processes are rigorous and thorough and safety and risk management are priorities.
