Community Support Worker

Community Support Workers provide personal care services to the elderly, people with disabilities, or those experiencing mental health issues. They are caring individuals who carry out household tasks while providing companionship and emotional support to their clients. In Australia, Community Support Workers are sometimes called Personal Carers.

As a Community Support Worker you could be helping your client take a shower and get dressed, driving a client to a doctor’s appointment then collecting their prescription medication, preparing an evening meal, or just having a friendly chat over coffee.
