Duration and Study Load

The Class 2 Real Estate Agent Licence Course (CPP41419 Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice) comprises:

At Validum, there are 2 different Class 2 Real Estate Agent licence course streams for you to choose from, allowing you to focus your studies. While the streams offer specialised elective units, you'll still be qualified to work in both sales and leasing regardless of which stream you choose.The streams simply allow you to tailor your learning to your specific interests within the real estate field.

• Property Management Stream: Ideal if you plan to primarily work in property leasing.Only 10 specially designed assessments
• Sales Stream: Ideal if you plan to primarily work in property sales (also contains the units needed to get an auctioneer’s accreditation).Only 8 specially designed assessments

Assessment

• Property Management Stream: Ten (10) Sets of Assessments

Twelve (12) Months to Complete

Self-Paced Learning – This means that it may not necessarily take you that long to complete the course.  The length of time it takes you to complete your course depends on various factors, such as your experience and the time you have available for self-paced study.

New South Wales

Once you complete our course, you will meet the educational requirement to apply with NSW Fair Trading for a Class 2 Real Estate Agent Licence. You can then legally perform a wide range of authorised activities, including:

• Sell, lease and manage real estate on behalf of clients;
• Act as an agent for a prospective purchaser, seller, landlord or tenant;
• Negotiate transactions (like buying, selling, exchanging or leasing property and businesses);
• Collect rent for a lease and providing property management services including managing rights; and
• Act as an auctioneer (provided you also hold an auctioneer accreditation).  

PLEASE NOTE: Before you can get a Class 2 Real Estate Agent licence, you must ALSO first hold an Assistant Agent Certificate of Registration for at least 12 months, and gain experience under the supervision of a licensee.  This experience must be recorded in a log book and signed off by your Licensee in Charge.

Victoria

Once you complete our course, you will meet the requirement to start work in Victoria as an Agent’s Representative. An Agent’s Representative is employed by or acts for a licensed Estate Agent and can perform any of the legal functions of that Estate Agent (with written authority). For example, an Agent’s Representative can act as a salesperson or property manager, but cannot operate an estate agency business.
