Legal Counsel

A Legal Counsel provides legal representation to a large company or organisation. You might be employed to work in house as part of the company’s legal department. Legal Counsels offer legal advice and represent a company during legal proceedings. Legal Counsels may prepare legal documents and appear in court on behalf of their organisation.

Legal Counsels should have strong analytical skills and be able to communicate clearly with a range of stakeholders. You’ll need to have keen attention to detail and be able to follow correct procedures. Legal Counsels must be organised and able to manage their time well.
