A Legal Administrator works in a court or legal practice performing administrative duties. This may involve general administration tasks like filing or preparing documents or may include work on the financial side of legal administration with some accounting, budgeting and financial analysis involved. A Legal Administrator will work closely with lawyers and paralegals and will have a strong understanding of legal processes.

Teamwork skills are essential for a Legal Administrator. You’ll need to be able to work on multiple tasks at once and have a good eye for detail. Time management skills are important and it’s crucial you can manage your own work schedule. Legal Administrators should be able to work with a range of people and have strong communication skills. You’ll need to be good with numbers and be able to use office software systems.
