With the Certificate I in Construction Jim’s Training offers this introductory construction course to Jim’s Group franchisees and external domestic learners who seek the essential basic knowledge required to work as a labourer or who wish to facilitate their future entry to an Australian apprenticeship.

Participants will receive an introduction to the construction industry to understand job roles and occupation types; industry culture, structure, and organization; safety requirements; workplace planning; communication skills; and workplace expectations.

HLTAID011 Provide First Aid – Basic First Aid knowledge and skills are essential for every person, both in and outside of the workplace. Jim’s Training delivers this Nationally Accredited First Aid Certification that meets workplace requirements and is the most common workplace first aid course offered Australia wide.

This course is highly recommended for all Jim’s Group franchisees and employees, as well as external learners seeking to gain or update their first aid skills and certification.

First Aid training is relevant to every workplace and industry. It is also critical for parents, carers, and other individuals.

Completion of CPCCWHS1001 Prepare to Work Safely in Construction Industry course is a mandatory health and safety legal requirement in Australia for all individuals employed or contracted to the construction industry. It is also highly recommended for an array of other work environments where construction is undertaken.

CPCCWHS1001 Prepare to Work Safely in Construction Industry suits any person whose work involves building, construction, conversion, alteration, fitting-out, renovation, demolition, dismantling, refurbishment, maintenance, repair, and others.

HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation is an essential skill for every person, and completion of a basic CPR course is mandated in many workplaces. Jim’s Training offers Nationally Accredited CPR Certification to save lives and which meets Australian workplace requirements. It complies with Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines.

This course is highly recommended for all Jim’s Group franchisees and employees, as well as all external learners including stay-at-home parents and carers.

Jim’s Training provides UEESS00174 – Electrical Safety Testing of Electrical Cord Connected Equipment and Cord Assemblies Skill Set for Jim’s Group franchisees and other individuals who require the skills to use a portable appliance tester (PAT) to undertake the testing, tagging, and reporting of handheld/portable low voltage (LV) electrical equipment. This competency is additional to other relevant field competencies for the scope of electrical work to be undertaken.

You will study: Application of WHS regulations, codes, and workplace practices, Conduct in-service safety testing of electrical cord-connected equipment, Conduct in-service safety testing of cord assemblies.

Jim’s Training offers RIIWHS204E Work Safely at Heights to Jim’s Group franchisees and external domestic learners seeking a comprehensive understanding of the correct use of fall protection equipment to suit an array of environments.

Students who complete this short course will understand and appreciate the importance of workplace height safety and the key legislation, be able to identify work-at-height hazards, and the different categories of personal fall prevention and protection equipment. They will also be able to demonstrate the correct pre- and post-user inspection of all height safety equipment.

With the Certificate II in Horticulture Jim’s Training conducts professional competency-based vocational training and assessments to provide participants with the knowledge and skills required to advance their careers in the gardening and landscaping industry.
