They may plan, design, apply and evaluate solutions to unpredictable problems, and identify, analyse and synthesise information from a variety of sources.

This qualification covers the skills and knowledge required to perform a range of skills at trade-level for those working in furniture making and those involved in the manufacture and installation of fitted furniture typically in a kitchen, bathroom and related context. Installation skills may be applied to new or renovation work. The work is in a defined range of skilled operations, usually within a range of broader related activities involving known routines, methods and procedures, where some discretion and judgement is required in the selection of equipment, services or contingency measures and within known time constraints.

This qualification offers a generic Certificate III in Cabinet Making, as well as two pathways targeting the skill requirements of free-standing furniture makers and kitchen and bathroom cabinet makers and installers.

This qualification provides a trade outcome in solid plastering for residential and commercial work. The qualification has core unit of competency requirements that cover common skills for the construction industry, as well as the specialist field of work, solid plastering. Solid plasterers apply plaster, cement and other mixtures to walls to create smooth or decorative finishes to interior walls and to render to exterior walls.

State and territory jurisdictions may have different licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements. Relevant state and territory regulatory authorities should be consulted to confirm those requirements. This qualification is suitable for an Australian apprenticeship pathway.

This qualification reflects the role of individuals working as skilled operators with civil construction plants, who apply a broad range of skills in varied work contexts, using some discretion and judgement and relevant theoretical knowledge. These individuals may provide theoretical advice and support a team.

The Certificate III in Roof Plumbing prepares candidates to install, maintain, and repair flashings, metal wall and roof claddings, rainwater products such as gutters and downpipes, and other pertinent accessories on commercial, industrial, and residential structures, among others.

A combination of general plumbing units and specialized roof plumbing units are covered in the course curriculum, which provides a comprehensive understanding of the trade. It functions as a conduit for advanced education and prospects for employment in the plumbing sector.

Practical training will be conducted in a real or simulated workplace setting to equip students with the necessary hands-on skills for the profession.

Safety training, including CPCCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry, must be completed prior to beginning work on a construction site in order to ensure adherence to safety regulations.
