Students will develop skills and knowledge in all aspects of workforce planning, including managing employee relations, staff recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and the development of individuals and teams. They will also learn to develop workplace health and wellbeing programs, and gain skills in communication strategies and social and emotional intelligence.
Through this course, students will gain a strong understanding of the daily operations and functions of an HR department, including HR management information systems and performance management systems.

Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
Students must have completed four Certificate IV in Human Resource Management units (or equivalent competencies) or have two years of equivalent full-time relevant work experience to undertake this course.
Complete a Basic Key Skills Builder (BKSB)an online test to ensure the required literacy & numeracy levels for the course are met.
Undertake a Pre-training review interview to ensure the course suits their needs and aspirations, and that they are likely to complete the course successfully.
Students should be currently working in or aspiring to work in a supervisory or management position where they are in charge of a team.
Prior to enrolment, students have an interview with trainer and must provide evidence of meeting the mandatory entry requirements for this course. This may include academic transcripts demonstrating completion of required units and/or a resume/letter from employer demonstrating required full time work experience.
Technology requirements
- A laptop/computer with internet access.
- Access to a digital camera or video camera for visual and audio assessment tasks.
- Webcam & headset for participation in virtual classes.
