Certificate IV In Accounting And Bookkeeping
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)The Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping (FNS40217) is designed to help you gain the skills and knowledge that employers are looking for in this field. The course is nationally accredited and meets the qualification requirements needed to become a registered Business Activity Statements (BAS) Agent.
This qualification reflects the job roles of workers in the accounting industry, including BAS Agents and contract bookkeepers; and of those employees performing bookkeeping tasks for organisations in a range of industries. It includes preparing and lodging business and installment activity statements, and providing advice or dealing with the Commissioner on behalf of a taxpayer in relation to activity statements. Individuals in these roles apply theoretical and specialist knowledge and skills to work autonomously, and exercise judgement in completing routine and non-routine activities.

Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
You need to have completed VCE (or equivalent) or be of mature age and have sufficient work experience. You also need to have high level language, literacy and numeracy skills.
