You might conduct marketing activities before an auction and ensure all bidders are registered. Real Estate Auctioneers start an auction by calling for bids and then attempt to get the highest price possible. You might close a sale to the highest bidder or pass a property in if a reserve is not met.

Real Estate Auctioneers should have excellent interpersonal skills and be strong communicators. You’ll need to be able to think quickly and keep up with a fast-paced auction environment. Real Estate Auctioneers should have good negotiation skills and be able to work with people from a range of backgrounds. You may have to work irregular hours and weekends in this role.
